Hey Rob!

No. Only one who caught the problem and pointed it out. He wanted SBBS to
be banned for usage within Fido. I thought he presented a good arguement
for it. As for other users of the "software in question" perhaps
they see it as a natural filter? Beats me all to heck.

Right. I am sure if you are truly interested you could find them.

He noticed the anomolous behavior in the LINUX echo but the controversy
really happened in a regional echo which requires that you be a member of
that particular region to have access to. There was another sysop in the
region who used the Linux version of SBBS whose software inadvertently
"spammed" another regional echo not unlike what was recently
witnessed in BINKD and NEW_NODELIST (ones I noticed), and perhaps a few
others. Given that the messages were old it shouldn't be too surprising
that nobody's dupe checkers caught it.

Whatever. Believe what you want. I know better. I am satisfied that
everyone concerned tried their best to correct the problem. Funny that my
methodology was the only one that caught your attention. :-)

Life is good,
Maurice
