I don't keep up with all the latest innovations in this field, but it seems
to me that an eyeglass based display would be the most practical solution,
for both (perceived) size, ease of mobility, and power requirements.

Is there some reason that solution won't fly? That is, up until they can
implant the screen right in your eyeball with an internal feed to the
source that's embedded in your abdomen?

It could even be complete with GPS tracking and "RealID" so you
can send your order to Burger King and they can compute your ETA and have
the Whopper drop off the broiler just as you arrive...
