Hello Ward,
LL>> Unlike so many others, Ward survived. But at what cost?
LL>> I would hate to see the x-rays of his lungs. Or rather what
LL>> is left of his lungs. And so many other parts of his body
LL>> that were also affected.
WD> There is irrepearable damage to the lungs. Do not need a doctor to tell me
WD> that. I can feel it.
Health care professionals say it takes 16 years for a smoker's
lungs to clear up after he/she quits. How much lungs recover for
COVID-19 survivors remains an unknown. Estimates are 20% to 30%
loss of lung capacity due to COVID-19 based on what I could find
on the web. Have no idea as to how accurate that might be.
WD> The rest is pretty good, the heart was checked, legionella, things ... so
my
WD> side-effect is that I will never will be able to breathe enough to run the
WD> 100m in 10.0s.
Seasonal flu recovery rates are estimated at 97% to 99%.
But COVID-19 is not the seasonal flu ...
WD> But I've been way luckier than others.
Unless it becomes reactivated and you have to do it all over again.
WD> One thing though ... I notice a smoker from a way bigger distance now.
Don't look at me. Gave those things up last century.
But still have to put up with second hand smoke. Nasty shit.
WD> Stay safe y'all.
Never ya'll. Roy Witt taught us that. :)
