Actually, in this case, that is the truth. MS made a design decision when
implementing certain things in certain situations; in this case, we amatuer
BBS operators were caught between the cracks.
I've been told that the way to go is to use the TAPI. I can't comment on
that, not having done any 95/NT programming yet, but I do notice that
(apparently) the Wildcat! crowd has seemed to solved many of these problems,
including fitting a native-code, 32-bit front end with a native-code, 32-bit
BBS package. IIRC they can even run Dos doors, but I might be wrong on that
count...
