Hehe sounds like me, but I've never had a beta.  I have plecos though and 
some catfish with my goldfish.  That coult for exotic?
I've had minimal success with a more mixed tank of tetras and such.  Guess I 
insist on feeding them like my goldies and it's not good for them?
