subject: Dive Computers

RW> I have found the Aladin Air X here in Jeddah but
RW>have not found the Nemesis models. These 2 computers
RW>are of course top end models and have the price tag
RW>to go along with it. From what I have seen the Aladin
RW>Air X had a suggested manufacture retail of about 995 US
RW>dollars. The firm price here is about 960 US dollars. Any
RW>idea what the going price for it is on your side of the pond?
That's about the same ballpark figure as what I'm seeing in the
dive shops, Ron. Both computers are still rleatively new and
the demand hasn't driven the price down very far as yet. I've
heard lots of positive comments about the Aladin, but haven't
read too much about Cochran's computers. How 'bout you?
RW>I may just hold off until I pass through the Duty Free Shops
RW>in the UAE this fall.
Makes plenty of good sense to me. I still dive with a US Divers
Monitor II even when diving Nitrox. Guess I can't see my way
clear to dropping a grand on another dive computer. :)
RW>BTW - Just out of curiousity, what does it cost to get
RW>your tanks filled for Nitrox diving?
Nitrox fills run anywhere from $6-10 in south Florida.
