| subject: | RE: EleBBS: telnet not working... |
* EleBBS Support List I have ELE, ELEBBS, RA and RABBS all pointing to the main elebbs directory. The paths are all right, I've got only one config.ra file. I'm using eleserv, I don't have telserv any more. This worked a few days ago. I swear, it's got to be user error, but I can't figure out what I've done wrong. I think I found the problem: ! 28-May 10:19:37 EL01 Could not open language definition file ENGLISH.ral Ok, I put the full path for it and now it works. Duh. Doors seem to be running as well. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Ehlert [mailto:mike{at}pcmicro.com] Sent: Saturday, May 28, 2005 9:20 AM To: elebbs{at}thebbs.org Subject: Re: EleBBS: telnet not working... * EleBBS Support List Hi Marty, > Ok, now I'm getting: > >> 27-May 14:30:31 EL01 [TELSRV ] [192.168.0.4] Connection opened >> 27-May 14:30:32 EL01 [TELSRV ] [192.168.0.4] Connection closed > Do you have your environment variables defined control panel > system > advanced > environment variables > system variables? mine has: ELE = c:\bbs RA = c:\bbs From your EleBBS directory, have you run elconfig > system >paths and confirmed your paths are correct and exist? Especially the node paths. Make sure you dont have multiple config.ra files. Node directories should be empty. Are you using telserv.exe or "eleserve -telnet" as the telnet server? Have you tried them both?
