RW> I got it, thanks. When I get a chance, I intend to modify it a bit with a RW> line pointing to Texas. :o) So you'll know where Las Brisas is? (-: Beautiful country out that way. RW> Next February, over the air television as you know it, won't be around RW> anymore. All of the analog stuff will be shut down. The digital RW> television stations will all be in the UHF band. If you want to watch a RW> station that's 50 miles away, you'll need a long boom yagi to get it. Can't do that stuff anymore. I used to be fearless when I was younger and didn't worry about falling, but now when I get on some place that's high up, it's difficult to concentrate. RW> That's what I'm using now and it's aim point has to be very precise. If RW> it isn't on the station, then you get the stuff that Tom was talking RW> about, sometimes the signal goes away completely. That's reminiscent of my earlier days with an outdoor antenna. Sometimes it would get out of alignment and I'd receive two blurry stations on the setting of one. I'd have to go outside, climb a ladder to the roof, climb another to the top of the mast (that's what we called them back then) and manually turn the antemma until the video and audio became stable. I grew tired of that rather fast and bought an electric motor to do that for me. It wasn't ALWAYS precise, but it saved me a lot of climbing. Regards, Roger ... I'm sorry, you are not cleared for that information. --- D'Bridge 2.99* Origin: NCS BBS (1:3828/7) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/201 34/999 106/1 120/228 123/500 140/1 222/2 226/0 249/303 SEEN-BY: 250/306 261/20 38 100 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 396/45 SEEN-BY: 633/260 267 712/848 801/161 189 2222/700 2320/100 105 2905/0 @PATH: 3828/7 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
