Seems all I can do these days is blubber..no reason, other than to say I
don't feel well at all. I have discovered a lump of sorts in my neck area and
saw a doctor that said,no to worry, most of these are bening tumors or
cysts..I being a nurse would have said the very same thing to anyone with the
same worry..and I swore I wouldn't worry till I know if there were something
tangable to worry about....it works when I'm around others too. but when I.m
alone, and I often am, I get to thinking too much..I don't have little ones
with which to bargin with god to see grown. Grandchildren are pretty well
grown as well and there is no one dependent upon my being here..Oh don't get
me wronf, I am not afraid of dying, that's the easy part. it's the manner in
which this must be accomplished..the worry to my family, the trouble and such
that this will spread throughout all I know. I have no idea why I am telling
you such things, God only knows you have enough to deal with and I hope you
will forgive me this once. I just think it may help to share. They say a
problem shared is half a problem..Not that either one of us can do a darn
thing about the progression of age and illness. I think we all try to take it
in our stride. But sometimes it gets to be almost too much..Okay, I'm done..I
will not mention it again..thanks for listning..
Thanks you too for the lovely comment on the velvet stockings and your
right they do look nice in out home..my daughter was delighted to think that
I had gone to all the trouble..they fit in nicely.
I too have ll the old felt stockings from each childs growing years.
some have taken them with them, those are the ones marriing and starting a
home of their own and just must have something of home to sort of germinate
the feeling of home in their own homes..others. mostly the boys and declined
to take there's saying to just throw them out. Mothers hang on the the most
rediclous things....but I think they'd be disappointed to find out if I
should..
How are you feeling these days..have you about worn yourself out
creating for the Holidays..I have sent all the card, noted the incoming
ones, bought all the presents and stocked for the Christmas Eve dinner we
always have.. Most of my family stays home on Christmas day with their
children. it seems such a shame to drag them away from their newly acquired
posessions. that we decided some time ago to have out celebration on the
Eve..it seems to take the edge off the childrens excitment also and some of
the parents say that they can even get to sleep in to, say 6:00 oclock...
Well Wandy, I guess I've certainly bent your ear long enough this time.
that will teach you to tell someone you like reading their letters..HA HA
If for some reason I don't get back to you before the Holidays, I wish
you and yours the very best, not only for that day but for all the days to
come..Hope you'll be feeling well so that you can enjoy the Holidays to the
fullest.. AAmile, My friend and thanks for listning.
If you have the chance. do read " the Christmas Box" by Richard Paul
Evans..nice short read for the holidays.. Merry Holiday..s Bettie
