BAR eye Coulthard

(27-Jul-98) - Craig Pollock made it clear at this weekend's Austrian Grand
Prix that David Coulthard is the next driver on his wish list.

In an interview with Radio 5 Live, the BAR boss was asked about the
possibility of Damon Hill joining his fledgling team. However, he went on
to describe his thoughts on David Coulthard.

'David Coulthard has everything we need in a driver,' said Pollock. 'He is
a terrific driver, can put a car on pole position and knows how to win
races. He would be ideal to have on board next year.'

Coulthard looks likely to leave McLaren at the end of this season after
rumours suggesting a growing rift between the driver and team boss Ron
Dennis.

The Scot has also been connected with Ferrari though it is believed that
Irvine will stay at the Scuderia.
