Before I started reading some of the posts in fidonews, I would not have
believed that reason. Now, I believe it. If the listkeeper (actually the
listkeeper bot) had some sort of power like a European monarch to grant or
withhold echo status, that would be one thing. But it is just a list, a
directory, a map.
