An interesting theory.  But not the only one out there.
Here is a competing theory, announced today on Twitter -

He's a preacher, and has his own television show.  Also predicts
the future using the Holy Bible as his crystal ball.  So believe him
when he tells you, the only way to get rid of this thing is for young
uns to quit doing what they are doing with their sex organs.  And then
all will be well as the virus will have nowhere else to go.
