 FWIW, I have here:
 PS/2 Model 80 (MCA bus)
 386dx/20
 4mb RAM
 110md ESDI Hard Drive (if not correct it's _very_ close, no bad spots)
 BNC network card (if I can find it here)
 IBM 3119 Scanner (Flatbed B&W, 8.5x11)
 No monitor
 The system above works 100% and is pretty quick (due to the MCA bus)
 compared to an ISA based machine of the same qualities.  The scanner
 works fine, but you would probably need newer software (the software
 I have for it here is for Windows 3.0.  Image-In out of California
 makes software (last I checked it was $50) that supports this scanner
 and I have the demo here.  I haven't run it in a while, and can set
 it up again to see if all is O.K.
 The PS/2 alone is a very heavy unit and (depending on how much
 shipping is) what would your friend consider a fair trade using
 that complete system above versus one of your laptops?
