I saw this ep on one of my tapes (never know which is on which tape, so
it's always a surprise ;). Stewart has done an excellent job.


I wonder why the K'tan people never managed to invent an ozone/radiation
shield? Merely because a star goes nova doesn't mean that life in the
system is no longer sustainable.

How is it that they were able to send up a probe transmitter, but not some
spaceship(s) to carry the population to resettle another planet?

Cayman's daughter says that she has scientific records dating 10 years,
and he has 25 years. Can we assume the probe was set for 25- 30 VR years?

Does that song Cayman is playing have a name? I know that the instrument
is what we call a "tin flute" or "penny flute."

The last scene where Picard is playing the song alone was very moving.
Unfortunately my VCR stopped recording about 60 seconds too soon.
Shammie do you know if anything happens, or just that the camera leaves
him in his quarters?


How kewl it'd be to live an entire lifespan in one night! What to do, who
