I think you meant 20 gallons per mile.  (-:  I've noticed that the
motorists (for lack of a more descriptive name which I don't allow here)
here are still in a big hurry to get to the next signal light, which almost
ALWAYS is red. The city government could and should do a study of traffic
flow and adjust the signal lights accordingly.  At some intersections,
three vehicles are allowed to go before the light turns yellow.  These are
mostly intersections where the light controls traffic turning left, going
straight -- one way or the other.  No matter which direction you're going,
you're going to waste a lot of gas waiting.
