At our last board meeting, the topic of how much to donate to AFA at this 
year's convention was brought up. Originally it was to be $500, but was 
quickly changed to:
$250 for AFA, $250 for Dr Richie's research.
One of the board members who came late and was not even present for this vote 
is going to be part of the field tests. the vet on the east side (Dr. Dan 
Burke) is participating in this test program and will be administering the 
test drugs.
If our fundraising seminar does good this year, I will motion later this year 
for more to Richie. As long as Richie can hold out, I hope to see us doing 
this on a yearly basis.
Our big AFA fan tried to dissuade the Richie part by saying that the 
University will automatically take a % of it, so Richie won't see the full 
amount. Is this true? Even so, it's fine by me, I call it his room and board 
or something like that.
