CH> Gee. If someone just sold their business they must be in transition.
Ummmm. Their business was/is at the bottom of the hill in the small town
of less than 100 population where they live. It wasn't a retail business
as much as it was a sales and service business to serve other business'
who either needed a copy machine or needed service to their equipment.
My BIL told me earlier in the year that he thought his building (he owns
the building where his business is housed) would be flooded this spring.
He was hoping to sell the business before that happened. As far as I know,
he was successful in that.
My sister works for the state of Wisconsin as a nursing home inspector. I
actually communicate more with my BIL than I do with her.
CH> Adjustmet... Not ready to play host? maybe? Hang on a bit and see...
CH> Was this a happy sell or a forced to do type sell.
He used to be on Skype, early in the mornings. Haven't been able to find
him there either.
CH> .............
RW>> I should be mad, but I'm not. They'll show up sooner or later.
CH> That is good Roy. ... That means you're aware 'this isn't about me'.
CH> :) Something a lot of us have trouble discriminating.
They have their own life to live and I haven't been in the picture for
decades. Nancy and I pay a visit to that area about every 3 years.
Sometimes I do that by myself.
CH> Why not go visit them once the mayhem dies down writ the business
CH> selling?
I was going to do that this month...there was a car show in the little
berg where they live, but it was canceled this year due to no interest.
CH> I'm just saying this because I read something close to this situation
CH> where a woman had just hd her third child and the grandparents were
CH> eager for a visit to see their new grandbaby. It had been tradition
CH> with the first two but this time, she needs some time to herself and
CH> her family in adjusting to the latest new arrival. I'm with her. She
CH> just needs to be assertive and give the folks a later date... They
CH> SHOULD undestand. IF they don't.. well that's their problem not hers/
CH> or her hubby's. (they're her parents.)
They could do like mine did as they got older and sleeping on couches or
pull out beds wasn't exactly their style anymore. My brother and SIL
figured that out first and stayed in a hotel while visiting us in San
Diego. We used to keep a room for guests for many years, but not anymore.
RN>> I weighted about 168 back then. Nowadays, my ideal weight would be
RN>> 217.
RW>> I got to 205 and stopped. I'm now 183 and getting lighter.
CH> How tall are you?
That's one of those questions on the brochure where you give this
answer: I'll tell you later. :o)
