My receiver and I have more than a passing acquaintence when I want to
program something to come on. That way, I don't have to remember what
comes on or when. I can program three days in advance and when a program
is due to come on and, unlike cable reveivers, the receiver turns itself on
and will tune itself to the preselected channel two minutes before the
program starts.

For looking up things, I can do a person, movie, channel or event title
search by keying in what I'm looking for in the search screen. Only a few
letters need be keyed in before a list appears on the right-hand side of
the screen. I can then arrow over to that portion and select what I want.
After I've finished, and I want to recall what I have scheduled, I can
press the List button on the receiver's remote control and everything I
have scheduled will appear.

Regards,

Roger
