Wet weather predicted for Austria

(23-Jul-98) - Mika Hakkinen's hopes of putting his world championship
campaign back on track at the Austrian Grand Prix appear to have suffered a
setback -- with wet weather predicted for the weekend.

Hakkinen's McLaren team could have expected an advantage with their
Bridgestone tyres usually more competitive in the hot conditions that
greeted the teams on Thursday.

But weather predicted shows that thunderstorms are on their way -- and
Saturday qualifying could be a complete washout.

There is a high possibility of thunderstorms on Friday, starting from
midday and running right the way through to Sunday morning.

By the time the race starts on Sunday afternoon the blue skies should have
returned, however.
