As Bettie West communicated to Wendy Apgar's starship:
BW> Hi Wendy. I've written before Hope you remember me...I've had you on
BW> our church's prayer circle for quite some time now and was
BW> hoping for more hopeful news from you by now. I'm sorry
BW> your still having a time both with the medicare system and
BW> your health. one does not help with the other I
BW> understand..Do try to keep the faith, they say, god never
BW> gives you more than you can handle and there are times we
BW> hope he knows what he's doing, cause we're not sure. And
BW> it is hard to understand why he gives one so much to handle
BW> but I hope you'll hang in there and I hope to hear more
BW> positive news from you shortly..take care and do write when
BW> you have the time and inclination..god Bless.. as
BW> always, Bettie
I think that right now there is good and bad. I've gotten
to the place where I am not as worried about medicare. I can
hold onto the fact that Steve won't just drop me and that
God placed him in my life and he has been a wonderful
therapist and has helped me in so many ways.
The good thing is that I am doing so much better at
listening to my body and not overdoing it. This is
especially true when I have been rubber stamping, or
on the computer. I take a break and go back to it and
I don't hurt for a week after stamping for a day. Even
if my stamp stuff stays out for a week. :-) I have a
very small apartment so that used to be something that
was really hard for me...I'm the perfectionist sort.
It's been nice to finally begin to be taking care of
me. Really healthy.
So there is good and bad. The flashbacks from my past
keep surfacing more and they are really hard to deal
with, but at the same time it helps me to understand
some of my behavior patterns so that I understand them
and can eventually learn to change them.
It's a struggle to cope financially with the RX, but
thankfully I've had a number of small card orders that
has helped tremendously with that. They trickle in
and so I haven't had to go without. And I have friends
that loan me the money on a temporary basis if I ask,
and a church who will help if it is needed.
This year I also haven't pushed myself as far as gifts
go. I am giving a number of people cards, and some of
those will be after Christmas gifts since it would be
too much to push myself for everything. That is so
different than what I did last year! Pushed myself
doing x-stitch and haven't stitched at all this year.
I'll probably go back to it again next year.
Wendy
