(Samba...)

I'd rather avoid the LD charges if at all possible due to the current screwed
up state of my finances...
MB> Samba should be widely available on the Internet.
I would have thought so too, but when I did a search on Alta Vista, I got
back a *bunch* of references that had nothing to do with this software, and
only _one_ that did, a site in Oz, which may be why I had a problem
snagging it.
MB> The package is available via anonymous ftp from
MB> nimbus.anu.edu.au in the directory pub/tridge/samba/.
That was probably where I was trying to snag it from.
MB> It should also be mirrored at all good Linux sites, including
MB> sunsite.unc.edu. A Samba WWW site can be found at
MB> http://lake.canberra.edu.au/pub/samba/.
Noted, and I'll try again later on...
MB> If you are dealing with Windows for Workgroups or Windows 95,
Nope! I'm not running either of those here. Never got 3.11, and have no
intention of letting Win95 near any of my machines.
MB> OS/2 Warp Connect will give you all of the options.
Sounds like a good plan to me, then...
