      Title: Homemade White Paste (for kids)
 Categories: Kids
      Yield: 1 Batch
 
      1 c  Sugar
      1 c  Flour
      1 qt Cold water
      1 tb Alum
    1/2 t  Oil of cloves
 
  Combine the sugar, flour and water in top of a double boiler.  Cook
  until thickened, stirring often.  Add Slum and oil of cloves.
  Combine well.
  
  Spoon into small jars.
  
  Past will set to a stiffer consistency once cooled.
  
  Lasts indefinitely if jars are kept sealed when not in use.
