subject: Cinnamon ornaments

Hi Jeannelou,
 > Thanks so much for looking up that recipe for me.
You're welcome, I knew I had it here somewhere, just couldn't remember where.
>I have tried some Elmers glue and plan to try some gluten.
I think I've also seen where someone just used glue and cinnamon. If doing
this I would use ALEENE's Tacky Glue in the GOLD bottle. When using this
glue, things have a little bit of flexibility after the glue dries (it has to
be the one in the GOLD bottle).
It may give the ornaments a little bit of "spring" that they need going
through the mail.
>Perhaps one of my problems is that i tried to dry them too quickly.
They have to be dried very slowly. You might try doing them in the oven
overnight with the oven light on ( I dry a lot of flowers this way). That
way they will be drying while you're sleeping, and you won't try to get in a
hurry
to rush them (my problem).
 >I need to get something going or my Christmas cards will arrive on
 > New Years.
The way snail-mail has been going from here, that will happen anyway.
 >I have taken you recipe off on hard copy. Thanks again.
I haven't gotten that far yet, but it is on a disc.
>P.S. My cake decorating job lasted just one day, there was far too much
>pressure to suit me.
And you probably couldn't use your own creativity. Things all seem to look
the same. I like individuality.
Happy Crafting
Donna
