Yeah, it was the deskstar IDE drives that are still failing regularly. I
don't trust the sata version either. The problem with a lot of them is they
simply could not withstand a hard power cycle. Something in the hardware
would short out. I keep a good circuit board handy so I can recover data
from the failed drives before replacing them with a different brand now.
