You must have many drives of the same capacity and build date.  I've found
a policy in other brands of, "burn the drive's NVRAM in custom fashion
every week, to accomodate bad sectors and the platter-blank vendor of the
week."  No read-ee. It just gets worse as the capacity gets higher.

What size are these bad Deathstars?
