Hey Guys,
I've been trying to get slackware V10, with MBSE setup.
Question I have is been trying to get postfix working here,
along with other things so that I can eventually get Fidonet
set up.. along with other BBS stuff.
1: I run a Wireless DLink DI-624 thats set with DHCP on.
It gives my LAN's 2 computers access to internet.
With this said, my internet scheme looks likes this:
(Modem) set in bridge mode --> Wireless router- set in DHCP
--> 192.168.0.1 --> My Slackware Pc --> 192.168.0.100 -->
--> Daughters Windows PC (XP) --> 192.168.0.2..
Is this a good setup, or should i disable DHCP, and setup
router 198.168.0.1 as gateway?
2: Seems i can connect up via telnet to MBSE BBS, utilize SSH to
my PC, etc.. but certain things like IRC dcc, don't work etc..
Wondering whats the best setup so that all these things might work well
together? Also Postfix seems to loopback - since its seeing Private Ip's
not sure here but, im not very strong in networking..
Thanks,
John..
