Eddie Irvine stays at Ferrari

(28-Jul-98) - Eddie Irvine will stay with the Ferrari team for another
season. That was confirmed by the team today.

The sum of the contract, approximately 5 million dollar for one season,
makes it clear that Ferrari is pleased with Irvine's work so far as it
makes him the second best paid driver of the field behin his team mate
Michael Schumacher.

The confirmation of Irvine ends rumours of David Coulthard moving to
Ferrari. The Scott is now believed to stay at McLaren together with Mika
Hakkinen.
