   Actually, I'll bet that many of these mysterious cutoffs are caused by
infected customers.  If a customer's computer is blasting out spam or
hosting a pill site, they'll get cut off.  It's often difficult for an ISP
to communicate with a customer who is close - same time zone, etc.   So I
can imagine that Comcast just waits for the customer to call.   And if they
have a typo and don't record the proper reason in the customer's info , the
customer doesn't realize what happened.
