It is four twisted pairs, each pair twisted about once per centimeter.
The minimum cable required for 10Base-T is Category 3. It is common to use
Category 5, which exceeds all requirements for Category 3, for 10Base-T.
However, Category 5 is officially designed to support 100Base-TX and similar
100 Mbps systems.
