Hi Jeannelou,
JT> I did call Rachel, first reaching her husband, then when she got
JT> home from work, her. I left her my number, and a corddule invitation
JT> to call me when she had time. She was just home from work on the
JT> biggest
JT> retail day of the year so was dead on her feet. Perhaps she will find
JT> time to call.
Rachel called us on Tuesday, said she had a good visit with you once she
"woke up" enough to be coherant. She was telling us about how hectic it
was at work that day; poor kid didn't realise how mean and nasty people
can be when they want "the" toy for their darlings and it's not
available. Hopefully she will stay in touch with you; she needs a local
ear for encouragement.
JT> My cake decorating job lasted just one day. It wasn't what i was
JT> looking for [all fast, fast production decorating ] and i doubt that
JT> but fast isn't one of them. I called the manager and suggested that
JT> we both cut our loses before she invested more training in me. She
Probably better to get out before you got in too deep. Rachel wanted
some Christmas cookie recipies so I have to type them up for her. Got
her some cookie cutters too; last year she and David had so much fun
doing the cut outs for me! David's ideas of decorating were a bit "off
the wall" at times but hey, he had fun!
JT> agreed. I am trying to make those cinnamon ornaments. So far, i
JT> am not
JT> impressed. For one thing they curled. how am i supposed to sent that
JT> ornaments are [at least so far] also not very tough. I'm trying some
JT> additives. I surely hope i can make it work, i bought about 30
JT> bottles of cinnamon.
Have you tried something like Elmer's glue? I have this notion it might
work, maybe mixed 50/50 with the applesauce or whatever proportion you
need. Hopefully, something will work, 30 bottles of cinnamon is a bit
much, even for me. Take care, hope to hear from you soon.
Catch you later,
Ruth
