RW>RN> After you stopped smoking, you went through the same thing I did. RW> Heh...I quit while I was at the bowling alley. So did I. It was October, 1986. I put the coffin nails and my lighter on a nearby table and told everyone who could hear me that they could have them. RW> I got so used to not having that smoke filled environment in California, RW> I almost fell over from the stench when I got into it here. You can't RW> even smoke in a bar in California, you have to go outside. And there's RW> no smoking at all in any restaurant there. If they havn't already, RW> they'll probably ban smoking everywhere, except in your own home. No smoking is allowed in restaurants here, but you can in a bar. That should prevent the non-smokers from drinking. (-: The bowling alley here that does allow smoking refers to itself as a "club." I wouldn't be bowling today if not for the ownership of the biggest and newest house in Houma banned smoking. The bowling alley that allows smoking is losing many of their league bowlers. RW> Smokers are getting picked on everywhere. I wouldn't exactly call it picked on. There are less smokers in this town now and the number of non-smokers is growing, just as I suspect it is everywhere else. RW>RN> Those houses are ones that probably allow smoking. That's the only RW>RN> way the owners can steer clear of breaking the law. RW> Breaking what law? I'll have to look it up, but I believe any establishment that serves food is in violation of a federal law that went into effect either last year or the year before (I'm only guessing) if smokers are allowed.
