You could do that or go through a process called asking Windows in the
Programs > Accessories > System tools > System information.  (-:

If I recall correctly, you're using Windows XP, so let it install the
drivers for the "new hardware" from its database.  If it doesn't
have the drivers for your new hardware, it will ask you to insert a driver
disc that came with the hardware.
