CH>RN> So did I. It was October, 1986. I put the coffin nails and my
CH>RN> lighter on a nearby table and told everyone who could hear me that
CH>RN> they could have them.

CH> Good for you! :)

That was a very scary time for me because of nicotine withdrawal. One
becomes very temperamental during that time. I didn't need patches or
hypnotism (which doesn't work) to get me to stop. I made up my mind to do
it and did.

CH> And some places have the smoking section in a CLOSED seperate room.
CH> That way the smoke doesn't travel over to the rest of us...

Same thing in the bowling alley.

CH> That's one thing I always hated about bowling alleys. The smoke.

I do now, but there was a time when I didn't.

CH> And GOOD! They're not allowed to smoke outside the doors at the malls
CH> either now. Which is a huge relief!

A close look in an ash tray will give them a very good idea of what their
lungs will look like in a few years, but with the majority of them, it
doesn't register. I know it didn't with me. It took me a long time to
wise up.

CH> Funny that. The expose others their slow suicide and THEY feel picked
CH> on? And funnier yet is the fact (documented fact) it's people who are
CH> strapped for cash who smoke the most. ((You do know I don't mean funny
CH> in the way of being humorous..)) I know why but it's still ... well..
CH> sad... sigh. The cycle you know? The cycle.

I understand. I do wonder if alcoholics feel picked on?

Regards,

Roger
