SOUTH Australians will have to give proof of identity before
sending mail and parcels overseas from tomorrow.

The ID process will apply to letters and enveloped items
weighing more than 500g.

Australia Post will require photo ID, passport or a signature
that can be confirmed by a social security or credit card as
part of a nation-wide international post security clampdown.
