She was taunting him from the get-go!  Notice she was wearing
the same broach as when she signed the articles of impeachment.
And wearing a white dress, as if she was sweet and innocent.

During his speech, he was nice.  Never mentioned one word about
having been impeached and put on trial.  Also never smiled.  Not
even once.  Even when shaking hands with others, he never smiled.
From the moment he stepped into the House chambers, ne never
smiled.  Had the same look of glum on his orange painted face.

OTOH, his wife was all smiles standing next to Rush Limbaugh.
Probably because he gave her his cigar collection.
