Sauber to continue with Ferrari power

(28-Jul-98) - Sauber have signed a deal with Ferrari to continue using
their V10s for a third consecutive year.

The Swiss team considered a supply of Mecachrome engines but decided to
stick with Ferrari as they believe they will get a better all-round deal.

Next season they will be using this year's highly rated engine. They are
currently running last year's version.

The team, however, are understood to be considering Mecachrome engines for
the 2000 season when Williams will switch to BMW power.
