 speaking of knick knacks. Y'all would be shocked. Or maybe not.. but
I was... when hubby got his NASA Space Achievement Award (at the same time
he got laid off ) among the nice dinner, the tour (this is a joke) the
faboulous viewing of the Atlantis Launch from the Saturn building..
amng that.. we got a whole slew of knick knacks. SOme useful some not.

Let's see.

We got a nice beach bag and beach umbrella we never used til moving
back to Floirda.
There was a pen set, a lot of phtos/crew signed.. hmm coffee mug, um..
Mission pins... a bright orange plastic clip board, a astronaut doll..
stickers..

Well that's PR for ya. And there were oh about 100 other award
recipients from all over the country flown in to stay at Cocoa Beach

hmmm. Nice. But You know if I had my way the money spent on PR would g
ointo  where it should go: into safety. Now they know that tho so
maybe cut back on the PR.
