When I was a teenager, I was a lot faster and surer (or so I thought) at
manipulating a car. I'd drive right into the garage without slowing down until I
was ready to stop. Likewise, I'd back out briskly. One time I backed out
smartly, and caught one of the doors on the front bumper and yanked it off of two
of its three hinges.
