Actually, there is.  You just do not know where to look.

A pandemic is "an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very
wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting
a large number of people," according to WHO.

The virus has spread to about two dozen countries, with the
majority of cases being in mainland China.  This started about
a month ago in Wuhan, China.  The virus has now infected more
people than the 2003 SARS epidemic, which infected more than
8,100 people across the globe over a nine month period.

As of yesterday, there have been almost 200 cases in at least
23 countries outside of China of individuals infected by the
coronavirus.

And you are telling me this is not a global pandemic?

On Thursday, the WHO called it a global health emergency, after
refusing to call it anything at all during its first two meetings
on the subject.  I wonder how many more people have to die around
the world before it officially calls it what it truly is?

And the Trump administration is also playing word games, declaring
the novel coronavirus a mere public health emergency, easily taken
care of by saying the right words to the right audience at the right
time.

Meanwhile, all the masks have been bought and sold, leaving the
shelves bare.  Best to make your own, now.  Or use your hands to
cover your face so as not to have to breathe in the germs.
