Jordan take first point

(12-Jul-98) - The Jordan Grand Prix team finally did what looked like the
impossible by scoring its first points of what, so far, has been a
disastrous start to a season.

Although Damon Hill failed to finish, Ralf Schumacher held on through rain
and chaos to score one point for sixth place. Ironic, because Schumacher's
downfall this season has been his ability to consistently complete races.

"I'm very pleased for him, but I'm obviously very disappointed that I
didn't get a point or stay up there myself. I managed to spin it
away," explained Hill.

"But Ralf did very well coming from the back of the grid and he got a
point, so there's a lot to celebrate now. It's a change in the bad luck
we've been having."

Ralf Schumacher admitted he was pleased with the result: "It was very
difficult to keep the car on the track. I'm pretty happy. The first point
is always the most difficult and now that I have one I want more."
