That one probably happened.  Certain to shock surviving humanity
to colonize out.  How far out no idea.

Since its tectonic plate is moving sideways, nope.  Look
at a global map and see the Baja California branch of
Mexico.  Big quakes would make it bigger and shift LA
north relative to the rest of NA but in only a million years
most of the geological change will be from human digging
and shorelines rising and falling with the climate.

Absolutely.  Now that typing matters there is a small
biological incentive favoring typing.
