don't have the patience to request the MIDI echo).  Simple question:  What is 
the longest length of MIDI cable you can run without a signal amplifier?  I'm 
thinking about a 300'+ run, and I was wondering if it's a problem, and if so 
whether signal amplifiers are available for MIDI.
