I did some testing and I didn't see any "gibberish," no matter what
the other end was sending.  If the file information was limited to
the filename, the display looked like this:
    File name  |  c:\dl\commo641.zip
    File size  |
               |                      Method  |  CRC-32/1024
    Byte count |  32768               Errors  |  Consec  0
    Data rate  |  1625 cps                    |  Total   0
               |
    Remaining  |  Time                       Progress
     n/a       |  Bytes
               |  Files
Could you show where the gibberish appeared?  Or any other
differences that you noticed.  Thanks.
