John, I did some checking on the Net and all I could find were add-ons for 
Word 6.0 which permitted conversion from Works 2.0 and 3.0.   You can check 
these out at:
http://www.microsoft.com/msword/FreeStuff/fs_wd_wdconvert60.htm
If you're denied access to that URL, go on through "http://www.microsoft.com" 
and into "products".
By the way, do you still have Word 2.0?  If so, it may have the necessary 
conversion program and you can get from 2.0 to 6.0.
