SL> Did Bruce Metcalf say Favorite Live Action Film while humming
SL> "Chim-chim-cha-ree"? I like that song!
Me too, but the sound track for my last post was "Bella Notte" from
"Lady and the Tramp."
SL>BM> I have reviewed the complete list of Disney live-action films and
SL>BM> am ready to render the opinion you asked me for.
SL> Did your homework, huh!
Always!
SL>BM> "The Three Lives of Thomasina"
SL> Oh, very good one! I still love that one!
SL>BM> ... the evil "witch" revealing that she loved kitties ...
SL> Yeah ... and she wasn't an ugly ol' witch ... that bothers me!
What, you don't believe in pretty witches? Remember the Queen from "Snow
White"? She was rated #2 in the kingdom by 4 out of 5 magic mirrors
surveyed.
SL>BM> So what's your favorite Disney live-action film?
SL> I have thought on this one long and hard. This is going to sound
SL> silly ...
Never! Unless it's more fun that way.
SL> ... but it is "Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar". Something about the
SL> narrator's voice has always appealed to me.
Ah, the dulcet tones of Rex Allen snare yet another listener. Yes,
"Charlie" made #2 on my list. Mostly because I know the territory where
it was filmed.
Next question: What is your favorite combination feature (animation and
live-action)? It's a short list, so it shouldn't take long (but it might
anyway).
