 You're saying a company can NOT sell equipment that it no longer needs,
and it no longer wants?

 I am NOT SELLING them for the RETAIL price, I post the RETAIL price,
then I post a price that is WELL BELOW the retail price, there is
NOTHING to complain about.

 I clearly posted, OR BEST OFFER!!

 But the users of this echo do NOT understand what 'or best offer'
means, instead they start attacking me...

 I even see this CRAp about Carina...

 Gee, how did the Carina thing start, because cross-posted messages that
'terry ortman' posted on FoReM and PRO boards....  Considering I HAVE
NEVER CALLED, or even use a FoReM or PRO BBS, then I never posted these
messages!!!

 Then you have Tom Guether, or whatever the heck his name is, posting
his 'vendetta' messages against me in every message base and getting me
banned, for what???

  I post items for sale, he calls me a rip off artist, etc., when HE has
never done business with me, he claims from users of HIS BOARD who have
been ripped off, and then a Dan Boucher posts a message accusing me of
charging his VISA card for a recorder that I never sent...

 Considering I DO NOT have a MERCHANT ACCOUNT, and I do NOT accept
credit cards, these people have NO GROUNDS for this willful FELONY acts
of slander and defamation of character!!!!

 I have been banned from conferences for OBEYING THE RULES, because
these liars start posting this crap about me!!!

 I know of at least ONE OTHER PERSON named Terry Ortman, FINE, you hate
this persons guts, then find him and destroy him, if I ever find him,
that's exactly what I will do!!!

 ANYONE can log onto A BBS anywhere and claim they are a person, and do
whatever they want using that persons name!!!

 I'm amazed at how many people post HATE messages to ME, who have NEVER
DONE BUSINESS with me, and they just attack me because I apparently have
the same name as someone who has ripped them off and charged too much
for something...

 How can asking what, over 1/4th the original price be overpriced?????

 Because Joe Blow down the street who may have been given a gift of
something is just selling it for $25.00????

 If they do NOT want to pay my price, they can make an OFFER, that is
what OR BEST OFFER MEANS!!!!

 If they do NOT want to BUY IT AT ALL< then DO NOT REPLY TO ME, IGNORE
the message, ,BUT NO< I guess if you hit RETURN on an ATARI, instead of
sending the carriage return the ENTER key does on an IBM, it sends the
Letter R for Reply......

 I thought the rules were simple in any echo, you post a message and the
other users are to OBEY the RULES!!!!!

 They have NO REASOn or CALL to post a message to me saying my prices
are not what they will pay for it, they can make an OFFER, not call me a
rip off artist for taking a LOSS on the equipmemt!!!!!

 They pay me the money they get the merchandise, a rip off artist sends
them nothing, or sends them stuff that is DOA.

 You tell them to STOP POSTING attacks to me, if I see in the paper,
Atari 800XL $150.00, I don't call the paper and post an ad nest to
theirs saying they are rip off artists...  If I call them on the phone
and do what these people are doing, I'd be arrested by the Police for
making harassing phone calls, and charged with Disorderly Conduct!!!

 This is supposed to be an ATARI 8-Bit conference, I am trying to sell
ATARI 8-BIT equipment in it.  All I get is a bunch of people, telling em
they are Atari 8-Bit owners and they will NOT BUY anythign for the Atari
8-bit, that's why ATARI dropped them, no one will BUY anything for
them!!

 I see people posting on other Atari Boards how they bought an ATR800,
and need the pinouts to the ports....  Hey, they are in the manuals...
What they bought an ATR8000 with no manuals?  I've seen them trying to
make cables, mine includes the cables for disk drives, printer and
modem, and I've even seen people asking me for the ATR Boot disks and
CP/M master because theirs didn't come with these!!

 That is a RIP OFF, maybe that's why they got it for $35.00 or so,
because nothing to use the thing is included!!!

 I LIST EVERYTHING THEY GET, the RETAIL PRICE of IT, and what I am
trying to get rid of it for!!!

 If they want a $35.00 ATR8000, then let them buy one from someone, and
when they don't get the boot disks, the manuals, etc., then don't come
to me and accuse me of ripping them off!!!!!

 I sold one of the ATR800's for $150.00 no questions asked, not only did
I sell the manuals and boot disks, but the guy didn't complain about the
price, maybe I should leave it at $150.00 then, but I AM TRYING TO GET
RID OF THIS STUFF!!!!

 These people have NEVER bought from me, yet they claim to be able to
attack me defame me and my name, so no one else will buy from me!!

 Like I said, buy a BRAND NEW Car for $35,000.00, I can show you I can
buy the same thing used for $350.00, I'll give you $300.00 for it....

 WHO IS SELLING IT????  WHO OWNS THE EQUIPMENT????

 Joe Blow sold one for $25.00, FINE, buy one from Joe Blow.  He sold it
I need one....  Fine, my price is $75.00......

 Just like when I went to the GUARANTEED LOWEST PRICE STORE here, they
ahd last eyars model CD Player without remote for $179.95, they can NOT
sell it lower than that, even though it's over a year old.  I told them
you guarantee the lowest price, I can go next door and buy this years
model for $129.95 with remote.  PROVE YOUR GUARANTEE BEAT THAT PRICE...
It's not the same model number....

 I walked across the street and bought the new one for $50.00 less and
broadcast at the top of my lungs how much of a RIP OFF PLACE they
are!!!!

 I am NOT going to BUY something for $150.00, turn around and sell it
for $50.00...  First of all, as a place of business, selling closeout
items, you get the warranty on it....  Buying a 10 year old item from
Joe Blow for $25.00, it don't work, Joe Blow will laugh at you it was
sold as is......

 Maybe Atari, DataQue, SWP, etc., won't honor the warranty, but if it
doesn't work you return it to me, I'd at least refund your money....

 NO MORE!!!!

 STARFLEET SOFTWARE ONLY sells items for the IBM and compatible and MACS
now....  I'm liquidating the Atari stuff that I am tired of having
taking up space that I can use for somehting else....

 They do NOT need to RESPOND to me AT ALL< unless they are to say, I'll
give you $110.00 for that, etc..  Not respond, PUBLICLY, and call me
names, etc.!!!

 Why don't you WARN them for VIOLATING THE RULES and BAN them, and let
me just post my ads and mind my own business....  The ONLY reason I'm
reading these messages is I'm ONLY reading the messages flagged as TO
ME!!!

 If they PUBLICLY ATTACK me, as the police told me, I can say whatever I
want about them in a PUBLIC RESPONSE, they can do nothing, because they
were the ones who contacted me FIRST!!!!
