Hello Bo, JB>> :) dtmf tone dialing gives eveyone base-twelve and those who JB>> need it four more tones many modems can dial all 16 tones. JB>> (0123456789#*ABCD) BS> Where are the ABCD tones used? And for what purpose? Over here they are used for caller identification. On analog lines the number of the caller is transmitted in DTMF to the receiver. To discriminate CID info from Direct dial in info, the number is boxed in between a 'C' and a 'D'. Cheers, Michiel --- InterMail 229kx* Origin: Thou shalt not go faster than light.
