Coulthard fastest in wet warm-up

(12-Jul-98) - David Coulthard emerged quickest from the morning warm-up for
this afternoon's British Grand Prix, closely followed by his McLaren team
mate Mika Hakkinen. Giancarlo Fisichella was third quickest for Benetton,
with Eddie Irvine and Michael Schumacher next up for Ferrari.

Most drivers took the opportunity to try out wet weather settings for the
first time this weekend - darting in and out of the pits to attempt to find
the optimum balance. Michael Schumacher in particular took the opportunity
to discover just how little grip there is in the pitlane and out on the
circuit, something that could be valuable in a race that could be decided
by inclement weather and pit strategy.

Spinners included Jos Verstappen, Damon Hill and Pedro Diniz.
