Hecky Thump, it's Alex Arkwright!

Knotting it together isn't the best solution, and you can hear it click
when it's not quite right.

Is that that little widget? Looks a bit like a car fire extinguisher?

We use HotLine (big jobbies). They're good for a couple of miles of
rope, but we do try to keep a circuit if we can - the battery lasts
longer. Stretchy gates are great things for this.

We see most of it. Just recently two dartmoor yearlings came in.
Somebody had bought them from the drift sales to 'rescue' them, then
left them in a field for eight months. Full of worms, totally uncatchable
and it wasn't until we finally managed to corner them that we knew what
sex they were! T'would be better if they'd been taken for meat rather
than left to suffer.

Good that you can keep an eye on them.
One of my main jobs is homechecking - we've got quite a few out on
loan, and I pop round every now and then to see how they're doing.
Ciao, Simon
