Communications is right up there under guns in importance, IMO.  The
difference being that, if absolutely necessary, we can take back our comm
with our guns, but it would be hard to get our guns back with
communication.  But I must admit that the guns wouldn't be real effective
with zero communications.  Still, if it got down to having to choose
between the two, I think I would take the guns.
When the various Socialist regimes have taken over around the world, they
always go after freedom of communication about as hard as the guns.  Maybe
the founding fathers thought communications was more important, since they
made it the first article of the Bill of Rights.
